Thank you SO much for making it possible to watch online. Words can't express how grateful I am. Going to Scottsdale was a special tradition for my mother and me. We stopped when I got older and she moved away. In 2005 I became disabled, and I've been mostly bedridden ever since. I'm so horse-sick that my heart just aches, so she trailers her mare over here a couple times a year just so I can sit in the paddock with her for a couple hours.
This week she had to be here for my disability hearing. (We've been waiting for the hearing for several years.) But the best thing that's happened in a very long time is that we got to sit together in front of the computer screen and watch the stallion halter classes. My aunt thought we were nuts because of all the clapping, hooting, hollering, and many shreaks of delight coming from her kitchen table. But it was simply wonderful... and it's been the best time we've had together in what feels like forever.
The quality this year is SO much better than last year. Thank you for all your effort. It matters. And for some of us... it means everything! Thank you, thank you, thank you...
