Randy Byers Horsemanship Thanks Susan. Nice article.. April 03, 2011 01:39 PM

Welcome to Randy Byers Horsemanship FanPage. Randy is a leading the way in this new USEF sport called Western Dressage. He is also a leader in new innovative training aids through mobile technology like the iPhone/iTouch/iPad platforms.

Western dressage is one of the newest equestrian sports to be endorsed by the United States Equestrian Federation. As such, western dressage is quickly becoming a very popular sport within the western riding community. Western dressage combines western traditions with classical dressage principles to create a whole new way of improving the horse and rider and giving them the foundations they need to advance.

The concept of WD is not to build dressage horses, nor is it to just put western saddles on dressage horses. We just want to build western horses with the concepts of classical concepts.

We are working with the WDAA and Midwest Western Dressage.

iHorseRider iPhone app Promo

This is the first app in a series of 6 horse riding/training apps.
iHorseRider: The Foundation, teaches the basics that all horses should know under saddle. You will learn the how and why of using cues and aids, specifically which cues and aids move which body parts and when and how to use and teach your horse each cue. This includes how to go forward with impulsion, the beginning of collection, and much much more.

This foundation work will set you up for further more advanced movements found in apps 2-6, all to be released in 2010. Follow all six lessons in the series and you will have a finely tuned and finished horse.

The exercises are clear, concise, and easy to follow. They are expertly written in a well thought out step by step manner and have been tested and successfully used by many different riders.

This is no ordinary App. This is truly the "missing manual"! Take this app with you to use on the spot while training your horse.

If you do each of the following exercises in The Foundation, you will be well on your way to having a well trained trustworthy horse with a rock solid foundation.

He will help you work through any "trouble spots" that you might encounter with your horse while following this program.

If you are serious about training your horse, this information is everything you need!
